Why it belongs

The closest decided game in the verified 2021–2025 archive happened with the Brew Crew Cup on the line.

Albany brought a 12–1 regular-season résumé to its 2023 postseason. Greendale had finished 7–6. By the end of their championship matchup, all that separated them was 0.08 points: Greendale 132.82, Albany 132.74. A season of separation in the standings became almost no separation at all in the game that mattered most.

CeeDee Lamb supplied 26.20 for Greendale and Matthew Stafford added 22.72. Albany answered with Jalen Hurts, Justin Jefferson and Amon-Ra St. Brown each clearing 22 points. Both lineups delivered. Greendale earned its first Cup, and Albany helped produce a final that remains the archive’s clearest reminder that every fraction counts.

Why it belongs

The 2023 finalists met for the Cup again—and their two championship margins add up to just 0.48 points.

Two years after the eight-hundredths final, Albany and Greendale returned to the same stage. The score changed; the tension in the final numbers did not. Greendale won 107.12–106.72 to claim its second Brew Crew Cup, following a 10–3 regular season. Albany’s 8–5 regular season ended with another title-game appearance.

James Cook III led Albany with 29.90 points. Greendale’s counterweight came from Derrick Henry’s 22.80 and Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s 19.60. The full roster also preserves a remarkable footnote: Matthew Stafford scored 40.88 on Albany’s bench. That is part of the recorded lineup story, not a claim about why the decision was made. Two finals, two Greendale wins, less than half a point between the combined margins.

Why it belongs

Road to Glory’s inaugural champion was decided by 2.80 points against a worthy first finalist.

Every championship tradition has a first entry. Albany Kneelers made this one theirs, defeating THE SAVAGE HUNS 121.50–118.70 in the 2021 final. The finalists had earned their places: Albany finished the regular season 10–4, the Huns 9–5. The opening chapter of the Cup was competitive right down to the final score.

Joe Burrow’s 46.10-point performance powered Albany. The Huns stayed close through Deebo Samuel’s 25.60, Kyler Murray’s 23.90 and 23.00 from Philadelphia DEF. A 2.80-point margin made the league’s first championship more than an origin date. It gave RTG a standard for the close finals that would follow—and two franchises a permanent place in the story.

Why it belongs

Two strong regular-season teams produced the highest combined score of the five archived Cup finals.

Turnbull AC’s finished the regular season 11–2. Chris’s Crazy Team finished 9–4. Their championship meeting lived up to that billing: Turnbull won 148.18–140.98, with 289.16 points across the two lineups. This was a final in which both teams gave themselves a real chance to lift the Cup.

Justin Jefferson’s 31.40 led Chris’s side, supported by Joe Burrow and Derrick Henry above 21 apiece. Turnbull answered across the lineup: Jerome Ford scored 23.60, Lamar Jackson 23.48 and A.J. Brown 21.70. The 7.20-point separation was enough for Turnbull’s first title. Chris’s runner-up season belongs in the same frame: a strong campaign capped by a championship performance worth remembering.

Why it belongs

The closest decided regular-season game in the archive became part of Turnbull’s championship season.

Long before Turnbull lifted the 2024 Cup, its Week 4 meeting with Albany was settled by a single tenth: 137.54–137.44. Looking back from Turnbull’s eventual 11–2 regular-season finish, this is one of the smallest margins inside a very big year. Albany made the eventual champion earn every bit of it.

The 49ers defense delivered 31.00 points for Turnbull, alongside 23.64 from Lamar Jackson and 21.40 from Alvin Kamara. Albany had plenty of answers, including CeeDee Lamb’s 24.10 and Jordan Mason’s 23.00. Both cleared 137 points. Only one received a win, and the difference remains the narrowest decisive regular-season margin in the verified archive.

Why it belongs

The only tie among the 446 verified games from 2021–2025 landed on exactly 86.04 for both teams.

THE SAVAGE HUNS and Dilly Dilly reached the same destination by different routes. Week 11 ended 86.04–86.04: no winner, no losing margin, and the only tie in this five-season matchup archive. Even their final regular-season records matched at 4–9–1, leaving the shared result visible in both season ledgers.

Dilly Dilly received 24.64 from Dak Prescott and 22.40 from George Kittle. The Huns countered with 24.00 from Ravens DEF and 17.74 from Marcus Mariota. The remaining lineup contributions balanced the totals to the hundredth. This collection makes room for the unusual as well as the spectacular; few results are more instantly recognizable than this one.

Why it belongs

Albany and Van Cortlant combined for 376.72 points—the largest two-team total in the verified archive.

Van Cortlant Rangers posted 173.82 points and still ran into the wrong opponent. Albany scored 202.90, turning Week 11 of 2024 into the archive’s biggest combined scoreboard: 376.72. The 29.08-point margin tells only part of the story. This was an exceptional offensive showing on both sides.

Taysom Hill’s 42.52 and Joe Mixon’s 38.30 drove Albany beyond 200, with Chris Boswell adding 24.00 from the kicker slot. Van Cortlant answered with Amon-Ra St. Brown at 33.20, Jonnu Smith at 29.10 and Texans DEF at 29.00. The Rangers’ contribution is why this belongs as a classic matchup, not simply a tribute to one enormous winning score.

Why it belongs

Maine produced the highest single-team score in the 2021–2025 archive, with two receivers combining for 99.70.

Some classics are remembered for how little separates the teams. This one is remembered for how high a lineup can climb. Maine Moose scored 237.18 against North town Ninnyhammers in Week 5 of 2023, setting the single-team high in the verified archive. North town put up 123.52; the day belonged to an extraordinary Maine lineup.

DJ Moore scored 51.00 and Ja’Marr Chase added 48.70—99.70 between the two receivers. Justin Fields supplied another 38.98, while Breece Hall contributed 30.90. North town’s Tua Tagovailoa and 49ers defense combined for 47.92 of their own. Maine’s total is the kind of performance a league keeps measuring future scoring explosions against.

Why it belongs

A narrow win preserved a memorable high point for the franchise now known as Vegas Vandals.

Matthew’s Optimal Team—the franchise now known as Vegas Vandals—found a result worth keeping in a difficult inaugural season. Its 130.46–130.10 win over Van Cortlant was one of two victories in a 2–12 regular season. A season record cannot capture everything about a team; this matchup captures the ability to compete and finish on the right side of a tiny margin.

Josh Allen contributed 29.46, Michael Pittman Jr. 25.60 and Darrell Henderson Jr. 21.80 for Matthew’s side. Van Cortlant answered with Matthew Stafford’s 28.20 and Tyreek Hill’s 21.40. The Rangers would finish the regular season 7–7, but this particular meeting belonged to their opponent by 0.36. It is a positive early chapter in the Vandals’ franchise history.

Why it belongs

Chris’s explosive 164.78 met an even bigger answer from the eventual 2022 champion.

Ayahuasca Rush’s championship season included an 11–3 regular-season record, but Week 8 was no routine entry in the win column. Chris’s Crazy Team scored 164.78. Rush answered with 177.78, producing a 342.56-point matchup in which a huge offensive effort still needed a larger reply.

A.J. Brown’s 38.60 and Tua Tagovailoa’s 31.18 set the pace for Chris. Rush leaned on Derrick Henry’s 37.30 and Tony Pollard’s 37.20, with Tyreek Hill adding 27.50 and Nick Folk 21.00. Chris finished the regular season 6–8, yet this game shows the punch that lineup carried. For Rush, it is a fitting snapshot of the firepower behind its first Cup.
